Parish Secretary

Holy Cross Is looking to hire a Parish Secretary to support our Pastoral Staff. This is year around, part time position, 28 hours per week, $15/hr, Monday through Thursday, 9am to 4pm. Preference will be given to those with two years related experience or greater and especially in a parish setting. Several beneficial skills would include: ability to handle many details, troubleshooting abilities, warmth in communication, and a heart for ministry.

Primary responsibilities include: supporting our pastoral staff, writing, preparation and publication of documents (weekly bulletin, parish correspondence), volunteer recruitment, website updates, parish and religious education registration.

Coordinator of Youth Ministry and Liturgy

Saint Michael Roman Catholic Church, Palmer, Alaska is seeking applications for Youth Minister and Liturgy, Full-Time.
An exciting opportunity for an energetic, adaptable, self-motivated, faith-filled, active Catholic who likes working with parish teens and families from diverse economic, social, ethnic, and cultural backgrounds. Create and/or coordinate youth and liturgical ministry programs. Collaborates with existing parish ministries, staff, Archdiocese, and the greater community.  Recruits, trains, and supports parish leadership teams of adult and youth volunteers.

Requirements are an education in related field, 3 years of experience working with teens, and an understanding of Comprehensive Youth Ministry as set forth by the USCCB in Renewing the Vision. Skill in pastoral planning, budgeting, leadership, working with volunteers, and use of social media and web/survey development a plus.
