Accounting Associate

The Archdiocese of Anchorage is currently recruiting for an Accounting Associate. This position will provide the Accounting Staff with a high level of accounting assistance, with the main focus being payroll & employee benefits management as well as some basic human resources responsibility. The Accounting Associate will maintain sub-ledger spreadsheets and related files, assist program directors with financial related matters, and execute daily accounting functions related to the overall performance of the Financial Services Department of the Archdiocese. The position is full time with benefits.

Parish Secretary

In collaboration with the Parochial Administrator/Pastor, the Parish Secretary is responsible for providing secretarial services; accounts payable; payroll, and related office services for the staff and/or other Parish committees and outside agencies. The Parish Secretary must be highly organized, work well with people, and support the needs and schedule of the Parish Pastor. Knowledge of the Catholic faith is very helpful. This position is a non-exempt/ hourly/ part-time/non-benefited. Director of Catechetical Ministries

Saint Patrick’s Parish, a friendly Catholic community of 1,200 families at the foot of the Chugach Mountains has an immediate opening for dynamic, qualified applicants for the position of Director of Catechetical Ministries. Successful applicants must be actively practicing their Catholic Faith, love children and young people, and have a passion for evangelism and outreach, both personally and at the ministry level. Master’s degree in Catholic Religious Education/Administration, Religious Studies, Pastoral Theology or related field is required; may be substituted with career experience in a related field. At least three years’ experience with “whole community catechesis” including elementary, middle, and high school students, as well as parents and senior parish members. Must be able to thrive within a team environment with a demonstrated ability for the recruitment, training, motivation, and recognition of others. Applicants must possess strong interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills as well as be adept at social media, multimedia, tech and presentation software, and their use in ministry. Familiarity with youth culture and with the trends and issues important to children and young people is a plus. Should have excellent planning and organizing skills, and the ability to effectively manage multiple programs with a variety of stakeholders. Reporting to the Controller, the Accountant plays a key role in the success of the Finance Department. This position prepares client billings, reviews Medicaid billings, interacts with the Program Directors, assists in the preparation of internal and external reports, reconcile accounts, acts as the Administrator for the organization credit card and helps prepare for external audits.

Grant Writer

Catholic Social Services (CSS) is looking for a Grant Writer to research, write, and coordinate grant applications and actively participate in our grant management processes. This position will involve identifying and evaluating new funding sources, developing grant budgets, coordinating grant applications with CSS program directors and administrators, and writing and submitting grant applications. This position will report to the Grant Development Director, who will collaborate with the Grant Writer in identifying and applying for new funding opportunities and managing current grants.
