BOY SCOUT RELIGIOUS EMBLEMS & GIRL SCOUTS MEDAL PROGRAMS:  Boy Scouts & Girl Scouts wishing to be presented their Catholic religious emblems by Archbishop Schwietz must complete their requirements & submit an application to Mrs. Kim Bakic, Committee Chair, by phone: 297-7755, or e-mail:  kbakic@caa-ak.org.

ADULT CATHOLIC SCOUTER RECOGNITION:  Nominations are being accepted for Boy Scout & Girl Scout leaders who have worked with Archdiocesan Catholic youth for a minimum of three years.  For information & forms, contact Mrs. Kim Bakic, Committee Chair, by phone: 297-7755, or e-mail:  kbakic@caa-ak.org.


Girl Scout Week is celebrated each March, starting with Girl Scout Sunday and ending with Girl Scout Sabbath on a Saturday, and it always includes the Girl Scout Birthday, March 12. For more infor click on Girl Scouts, USA.

World Thinking Day, February 22, celebrates the birthdays of Girl Guides/Girl Scouts founder Robert, Lord Baden-Powell (1857-1941) and World Chief Guide, Olave, Lady Baden-Powell (1889-1977).

The National Catholic Committee on Scouting
(NCCS) is a church committee of concerned Catholic lay people and clergy who see as their mission the constructive use of the program of the Boy Scouts of America as a viable form of youth ministry with the Catholic youth of our nation.
