Alaska Catholic Youth Conference

(ACYC)

The Alaska Catholic Youth Conference for youth in grades 9-12 is scheduled for June 4-7, 2007 at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church in Anchorage, Alaska. The Archdiocese of Anchorage is sponsoring this gathering for the young church. Soon, an ACYC Team of youth and adults will be formed and parishioners from every parish are invited to be a part of this team that will host the week's activities.

On the occasion of the twentieth World Youth Day in Germany, our Holy Father, Pope Benedict XVI, invited youth of the world to go forward with Christ to live as true worshippers of God. ACYC will help young Catholics embrace our Holy Father's invitation and encounter Jesus more deeply, especially in the Eucharist and one another.

A pilgimage to ACYC will be worthwhile for all. Participants will be challenged to live as God's disciples and will experience being Church in a new light. Young Catholics from throughout the state of Alaska and elsewhere are invited to journey together to this faith-filled, fun, challenging, and blessed pilgimage.
