YOUNG ADULTS
The Holy Family Cathedral young adults (men and women, single and married, aged 18-39) invite others to join them for:
- Weekly discussions at 7:00pm on Wednesdays in the Holy Family Center (on 5th Avenue, west of the Cathedral).We are studying and discussing Pope John Paul II's teachings on the Theology of the Body, using the book Sex and the Sacred City. Covenant House is gathering items for their “Job Search” closet. They are specifically in need of black shoes and black belts in all sizes for both young men and young women. The girls specially need shoes with low to no heels (flats). They also are in need of any clothing for job searching purposes. CATHOLIC SOCIAL SERVICES
Catholic Social Services is recruiting for a part-time Parish Volunteer Coordinator (PVC) to work with newly arriving refugees resettled by the Refugee Assistance & Immigration Services program. The PVC will create an organizational structure to strengthen Parish commitment to refugee resettlement and focus on securing winter clothing, independent transportation training and community social support. Brother Francis Shelter (BFS) needs adult clothing to include socks, undergarments, pants and jackets. The clothing room at BFS has witnessed a dramatic increase in visitors and is having trouble meeting the demand. Please drop off donations at 1021 East 3rd Avenue. Thank you!
