July 30-Aug 4 │Girdwood - Eagle Eye will be addressing the question do we live to work or work to live. The talks will be both philosophical and theological. July 25 - August 2 │ Eight-day Individually Directed Retreat Led by Fr. Armand Nigro, S.J., Fr. Vincent Beuzer, S.J. and Rosemary Insley, LCSW. August 15 - 19│Centering Prayer Retreat led by Kess Frey and Fran Victor. During this retreat, participants will have the opportunity to experience centering prayer sessions, group prayer services, view videos from Contemplative Outreach, and take walks in an atmosphere of silence and beauty. Retreat begins Friday, August 15 at 6:30 for check-in and ends Tuesday, August 19 1pm. Fee for full retreat is $325; attending Friday through Sunday is $195. October 3-5│ Koinonia weekend will be offered at Holy Spirit Center Oct. 3-5th. This weekend, which is offered for all adults, concentrates on the Paschal mystery: the passion, death and resurrection of Jesus. Koinonia (a Greek term meaning community) emphasizes that the Church is a community of baptized believers who know they are set apart to proclaim the Gospel and to serve all people in a healing way. This concept of Church is communicated to the group not only through talks, discussions and activities, but also through the team and participants being Church. Please visit the Fresh International Gardens booth (operated by refugees from the CSS Refugee Assistance & Immigration Services program) at the Farmer's Market on Wednesdays at the Northway mall parking lot (until 4pm) and on Saturdays at the Downtown Anchorage market (until 6pm). Produce is fresh picked (usually the same morning!).
