May 2 │ Many Images, One Heart - St. Anthony's Parish Hall, 6 to 11 pm. The aim of this event is to bring our diverse cultures together for an evening of sharing food, talents, traditions, songs and stories. Those who attend will buy a passport for $5 (or free will donation) and then visit 8 different ethnic booths to have their passports stamped, learn about their culture, sample their food, and dance to their music! The booths will include Mexican/Hispanic displays, Samoan, Filippino, Alaskan Native, Nigerian, Polish, German and Korean displays. The St. Anthony VMY/FIAT Youth Group will be presenting a "No Talent" show. This event is brought to you by the Youth in Theology and Ministry students of St. Anthony and the St. Anthony Pastoral Council.
May 3 │ Mass for Founder of Sisters of Perpetual Adoration - On May 3rd the Archdiocese will celebrate a Mass at Blessed Sacrament Monastery at 11:00am in honor of the beatification of Mother Mary Magdalene of the Incarnation, the foundress of the religious order from which the Sisters in Anchorage had their origin. The celebration is on the same day as the beatification in Rome. Adoration will begin at 9:00pm the evening prior and continue until the regular daily Mass at 8:00am. The official celebration will begin with Mass at 11:00am, followed by a reception. All are invited!
May 7 │Single and Living for Christ - Come join Fr. John Mellein, OP and your fellow single adults (18 and up) for a talk and discussion on the challenges and joys of being single and living for Christ in today's world.
