November 1-4 │Mens A.C.T.S. RETREAT ACTS is an acronym signifying Adoration, Community, Theology, and Service. ACTS retreats are put on by lay people who desire to help the participants experience God’s love and joy throughout a 3-day weekend retreat and return to their church community with a deeper love for each other and a desire to become more involved in their faith community. The retreat is a spiritual gift from the team to you. The 3-day retreat will be held at Meier Lake Conference Center in Wasilla, beginning on a Thursday evening and concluding on Sunday with Mass and an ice cream social at Sacred Heart Church. November 3│Book Fair in support of Lumen Christi High School - NEED A CHRISTMAS GIFT IDEA? Books make great gifts! Barnes and Noble is hosting a book fair in support of Lumen Christi High School on Saturday, November 3, 2007 from 11 am - 5 pm. November 15│Covenant House Alaska’s annual Candlelight Vigil to bring awareness to our homeless and at-risk youth will be held in Town Square (6th & F) on Thursday, November 15th from 6-7 p.m. Please come with your friends and family to show your support and encouragement to Anchorage’s homeless youth. Gloves, hats and socks will be collected to help them keep warm this winter. After the Vigil, stop by the Crisis Center adjacent to Town Square for an open house with hot chocolate and cookies. November 17│Announcing St. Anthony Parish's 50th Anniversary . All are invited to celebrate St. Anthony's 50th Anniversary. The Jubilee dinner will be held November 17th, exactly 50 years after the date the 1st mass celebrated at St. Anthony Church. An open invitation is issued to all former St. Anthony parishioners, and to everyone in the Archdiocese wishing to join in the celebration of the 50th Jubilee. Week of October 7th: SALT Programs Begin│SALT is a scripture and leadership program sponsored by the Archdiocese of Anchorage that connects Scripture to life through reflection and prayer. Courses are being held at several parishes around the Archdiocese. Those beginning the first year have the option of attending courses at Holy Spirit Center on Wednesday evenings from 7:00 - 9:00 pm beginning October 10th and Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton Church, Sundays from 2:45 - 5:15 pm beginning October 7th.
