The job involves office work, and evening and weekend meetings and events. January 18 │ Administrative Assistant - The Archdiocese Hispanic Ministry is seeking an administrative assistant to provide general office support to the Director of Hispanic Ministries. Duties include answering phones and emails, routing calls and mail, providing resource information, word processing, filing, and other basic office support tasks. The successful candidate will have excellent interpersonal skills, be well organized, show initiative to seek out tasks and accomplish projects, and maintain strict confidentiality. This position is part-time, 10-20 hours per week, primarily weekday mornings. The successful candidate will have language fluency to include reading and writing, and cultural fluency in Spanish and English as well as be thoroughly familiar with the Catholic Sacraments and religious services. The candidate must work within the values of the Catholic Church. January 10, 2012 │ DIOCESAN YOUTH MINISTER - Diocesan Youth Minister for the Diocese of Fairbanks—This position will work primarily in the Fairbanks area, rural road system, and Northwest coast in developing youth and young adult ministry programs for individuals from junior high school age to approximately 30, along with serving as a resource throughout the rest of the Diocese. Qualifications include being a practicing Catholic with a bachelor’s degree in theology, religious education, or a related field. A master’s degree is preferred. The successful candidate will have prior experience as a youth minister and demonstrate leadership skills in collaborative settings.
